BooBoo2's first day out

I know M was pushing to get BooBoo2 socialized, but I wanted to take it a bit slower. For the first two days he sat in the cage, right between the computers. I kept my fingers in there whenever a could, while I worked on the computer. By the second day he would eat out of my hand, I could touch his tail and feet. He wasn't all that sure about getting OUT of the cage. We picked him up, stuffed lemur toy and all and wrapped his towel loosely around him. You can see from the pictures below just how nervous he was! Tonght he was a bit bouncier, wanted to explore more, but if I shooed him back from the keyboard, he came and snuggled. He goes to a new home this weekend, by then I think he will be very socialized. He calls and calls for me if I leave the room, and as soon as he hears K's voice. He's very active in the cage, playing with his hammock, he brought up his little belled cat toy to his hammock and played with it there for a bit. He just has to taste everything too. Lemurs are such happy babies!

Bein' busy...

Goodness, got a little busy there, too busy just living to write. Baby season is off and running.

Let's see, right now I still have Kissy the wallaby. She is the only one I've had who actually potty trained herself and is a major cuddlebug. She was supposed to go out by now, but the buyer had a family emergency and cancelled. So she is going to Roberta in CA. No shipping! We always hold our breath until an animal arrives safely. Who knows, maybe I'll get to see her again some day.

I have a 3 month old lemur baby to tame. He was with his mother until a couple of days ago. He hasn't accepted me as a lemur yet, and he's not on the bottle, so I have to bribe him. I haven't held him yet, but he will come and groom me through the cage for a second. Tried to catch him today, but had to chase him all around the cage, the last thing I want to do. I'll try again tommorrow.

Da Boys, Velcro and Turbo got moved into their new big cage. It's not my imagination, Velcro was fine with petting and talking until we started to leave, then he tried to grab K. He figures I belong to him, and did not want that male to take me away! Sometimes he won't even let Turbo come sit in my lap. He knows better than to scratch, but sometimes he just has to show that he could if he wanted to!

I'll be doggoned, miss posting for a bit and the Bloggods fix it so I can upload pics right from my computer into the proper post. Thanks, Bloggods! Oh no! This means I can post more pics! Oooo, goody!

Well, I did have a picture of Da Boys, but it has disappeared into cyberspace when I came back to add another photo. Oh well, this is enough for today anyway.
